The "I’m a Vintage Port in a T-Shirt" Choice
🇵🇹 The VibeProduced by the legendary Van Zellers & Co., this LBV is for the person who wants the intensity of a Vintage Port but doesn't want to wait 20 years (or use a specialized surgical tool) to open it. It's essentially a "Vintage" wine that stayed at the winery's party for an extra four years in large wooden vats to mellow out. It’s sophisticated, rich, and ready to go whenever you are.
The NoseExpect a serious aromatic punch. It’s deep and floral with a dark side: dark cherries, cassis, and wild raspberries hitting you first, followed by a sophisticated whiff of cedar spice and balsamic. It smells like a library in a Douro estate—expensive wood, old stories, and a lot of dark fruit.
The TasteOn the palate, this is velvet in liquid form. It’s incredibly deep ruby in color and carries an elegant balance between power and finesse. You get that luscious sweetness of ripe forest fruits, but it’s backed by vibrant tannins and a long, spicy finish. It’s smooth enough to drink on its own but has enough "grip" to remind you it’s a serious Douro field blend.

Best Paired With:The Classics: Strong blue cheeses (Stilton is the soulmate here) or mature cheddar. The Sweet Side: Anything involving dark chocolate—truffles, molten lava cake, or a brownie that’s 70% cacao. The Main Event: Surprisingly good with a peppery steak or duck magret with a berry reduction.Pro Tip: This is an unfiltered LBV. This means it might "throw a deposit" (sediment). You don't have to decant it if it's a fresh bottle, but if you want to look like a true connoisseur—and keep the last glass clear—give it an hour in a decanter.
