Curriculum Vitae Douro Branco is a refined and multi‑layered interpretation of the traditional white grape varieties of the Douro Valley.
Behind this wine stands the Van Zeller family, who have been part of the Douro since 1620, when they settled in Porto and began trading port wine. For many generations they have contributed to the development of winemaking in the region, and their story reflects the deeply family‑oriented culture that defines the Douro.
The region’s extreme conditions and steep slopes produce grapes that could not be grown anywhere else. The grape varieties are rare and indigenous, giving the wine a truly local and distinctive character.
The grapes are hand‑harvested from steep schist slopes to ensure that only perfectly ripe fruit is used in the winemaking process. The pressing is gentle to preserve the wine’s pure and fresh aromas. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, helping maintain the wine’s natural citrus character and minerality. A portion of the wine is aged in French oak barrels, adding subtle spiciness and a velvety mouthfeel.
