Van Zellers & Co is one of the oldest port houses in the Douro, with roots dating back to 1620. The family has been part of port wine history for over 14 generations, and the house is renowned for its uncompromising craftsmanship and dedication to tradition.
The wine comes from the Douro Valley, where the rocky slopes, poor soils and hot climate produce small, highly aromatic grapes that are ideal for crafting port wines.
30 Years Old Tawny is a carefully selected blend of barrels from different vintages with an average age of 30 years. The wine matures in small oak casks, where slow oxygen exposure develops nutty, caramel and dried‑fruit aromas. Extended ageing gives the wine a velvety texture, deep amber colour and a richly layered aromatic profile.
Enjoy this 30‑year‑old tawny port lightly chilled on its own or paired with desserts. It matches beautifully with nutty, caramel and chocolate flavours and adds depth to refined dessert cocktails.
