A stunning white wine from Senses, combining the elegance of Burgundy with the cool‑climate character of California.
El Diablo Vineyard is one of the most esteemed vineyards in the Russian River Valley. Its name, “The Devil,” refers to the steep slopes and challenging growing conditions that produce exceptionally concentrated grapes.
The El Diablo Vineyard is located in the Sebastopol Hills area, one of the coolest and most highly regarded sub‑regions of the Russian River Valley.
The wine ferments in small French oak barrels, some of which are new. This brings creaminess, toasted notes, and structure to the wine. The maturation typically lasts 10–14 months, during which the wine develops depth, nutty nuances, and a long finish. It is bottled without filtration to preserve the natural intensity of its aromas and texture.
The wine cellars optimally for 5–10 years, but when enjoyed young it shows greater intensity. It pairs beautifully with fish dishes such as sole meunière. In summer, it works well with richer salads or lemon risotto. Soft cheeses like brie or brebirousse are also worth trying thanks to their creaminess.
