Founded by three childhood friends, Senses Wines has quickly risen to become one of California’s most respected boutique producers. The B.A. Thieriot vineyard was purchased by Max’s parents in 1988, and its plantings were carried out by the legendary Warren Dutton.
B.A. Thieriot Vineyard is located near the Pacific coast, bringing cool ocean breezes and a long growing season to the wine. The soil is poor and highly permeable, encouraging the vines to produce a small but exceptionally high‑quality yield.
The wine matures for about 14 months in French oak barrels, which adds structure, subtle toastiness and layered complexity.
