A top‑quality Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand, crafted with the involvement of the iconic Rothschild family from France.
Rimapere is Baron Benjamin de Rothschild’s New Zealand project, and its name means “five arrows” in Māori, a reference to the Rothschild family emblem. Rimapere combines French winemaking tradition with Marlborough’s iconic, vibrant style.
The wine comes from the heart of the Wairau Valley, where sunny days and cool nights produce intensely fruity yet refreshing Sauvignon Blancs. Sauvignon Blanc is the region’s dominant grape variety, known for its bright acidity, citrus and tropical aromas, and distinctive herbal notes.
The grapes are hand‑harvested in the cool morning hours to preserve maximum freshness. Fermentation takes place at low temperatures in stainless‑steel tanks. A portion of the wine is aged on its lees in stainless steel, adding depth and layered texture.
A fresh and aromatic Sauvignon Blanc that pairs beautifully with seafood, salads, vegetable dishes and goat cheese as well as soft cheeses in general. The wine truly shines alongside food, but it also makes an excellent aperitif or can be enjoyed on its own well‑chilled.
