The "Heritage Field Blend" – A Soulful Fusion of Two Vintages
In March 2026, the Cuvée Leonard 2021/2022 is a highlight of Vinařství Plenér’s lineup. This wine is a deliberate multi-vintage blend, a technique Dominika Černohorská uses to create a more complete and balanced expression of her vineyards. By marrying the 2021 harvest (known for its exceptional ripeness and concentration) with the 2022 harvest (celebrated for its vibrant freshness and levity), Plenér has crafted a wine that feels both established and energetic.
The grapes come from the estate's very first vineyard, Nad svatým Leonardem in Klentnice, which is planted as a traditional "field blend" on the limestone slopes of the Pálava hills.
🍷 Tasting Notes (2026 Perspective)
The combination of two distinct years has resulted in a wine that is "creamy yet zesty," showing more structural depth than the younger CMYK series.
-
The Nose: Layered and Aromatic. It leads with a "harmonious" bouquet of yellow apple, ripe apricot, and peach. Because it includes aromatic varieties, you'll also find delicate notes of white flowers, elderberry, and a hint of honeyed spice.
-
The Palate: Textured and Mineral. The entry is smooth and "rounded" due to its time in the barrel, featuring flavors of lemon curd and tropical fruit. This richness is perfectly countered by the signature Pálava salinity—a distinct mineral "snap" that tastes like wet limestone.
-
The Finish: Persistent and Clean. It concludes with a refreshing, slightly spicy trail of grapefruit pith and minerals. It is bottled unfiltered, which adds a subtle, pleasant grip to the final impression.

Pro Tip
Cuvée Leonard is a wine of "two temperatures." If served well-chilled (8°C–10°C), the mineral saltiness and fresh acidity are at the forefront, making it a great aperitif. However, if you let it warm slightly (12°C–14°C), the aromatic complexity of the Pálava and Veritas grapes begins to "bloom," revealing more honeyed and floral notes. It is a fantastic partner for richer fish dishes (salmon or tuna), creamy risotto, or mild soft cheeses.
