Jacopus Rosso di Montalcino 2023 is a vibrant, spicy Sangiovese blending Montalcino’s tradition and craftsmanship.
La Togata is a small, family-owned estate in Montalcino, best known for its Brunello wines. Rosso di Montalcino Jacopus is the estate’s younger and more approachable wine, reflecting the same commitment to quality.
The wine is made from 100% Sangiovese, known in Montalcino as Sangiovese Grosso. The region’s high slopes and breezy climate produce grapes with naturally high acidity and pronounced aromatic intensity.
The wine matures for 12 months in new Slavonian oak barrels, adding subtle spiciness and structure. It then continues bottle ageing for at least 6 months, which softens the tannins and deepens the aromatic profile.
An excellent choice when you want a versatile, food‑friendly Tuscan red wine that doesn’t require long decanting. It pairs beautifully with white meats, pasta dishes, risottos, pizza and cheeses. Serve it, for example, with lasagna, pizza margherita, mushroom risotto, caprese salad or Pecorino Toscano. It is highly versatile in the end, the only limit is your imagination.
