Flechas de Los Andes Aguaribay is a full-bodied and powerful Argentine Malbec.
The name Aguaribay refers to the pepper tree that grows in the area, a natural part of the Uco Valley landscape and a symbol of the wine’s roots in Argentina’s nature. The wine is produced by Flechas de Los Andes, a project founded by two prominent figures in the wine world: Baron Benjamin de Rothschild and Laurent Dassault.
Mendoza is Argentina’s most renowned wine region, and Malbec is the country’s most iconic grape variety. The vineyards are located high above sea level, at over 900 meters, producing grapes with good acidity, intense color, and a ripe tannin structure.
The wine is made from 100% Malbec, harvested by hand, and the high-altitude, cool climate preserves the grapes’ freshness, while Mendoza’s sunny conditions add richness and ripeness. The wine is aged for at least 12 months in French oak barrels, which contribute spiciness and refined toasted notes. The result is an intense, full-bodied, dark-fruited Argentine Malbec.
An excellent companion to grilled meat dishes. Slow-cooked stews and strong, well-aged cheeses are also a great match for this wine.
