The "World Champion" Rosé – A Masterpiece of Provencal Finesse

In April 2026, the 2025 Château La Tulipe Noire Rosé has solidified its reputation as one of the elite wines of the world. Following the historic success of the 2024 vintage—which was crowned "Best Rosé in the World".

Crafted by oenologist Audrey Baccino in the coastal terroir of Pierrefeu-du-Var, this wine is a "gastronomic rosé." While most rosés are built for casual sipping, La Tulipe Noire is designed with the complexity and structure of a fine white wine, benefiting from a unique blend that features the rare and ancient Tibouren grape.

🍷 Tasting Notes (2026 Perspective)

The 2025 vintage is characterized by a "shimmering" elegance and a profound aromatic depth that sets it apart from standard Provence blends.

  • The Nose: Delicate and Multi-Layered. It opens with a sophisticated bouquet of white peach, nectarine, and citrus blossom. As it breathes, it reveals the signature Tibouren influence: exotic spices, aniseed, and a faint hint of dried herbs (garrigue).

  • The Palate: Silky and Powerful. The entry is "creamy and refined." You’ll find a concentrated core of red currants and pink grapefruit, supported by a vibrant, saline acidity. It has a rare "weight" on the mid-palate that feels like liquid silk, yet remains remarkably fresh.

  • The Finish: Persistent and Saline. It concludes with a long, shimmering finish of lemon zest and mineral smoke, showing a persistence that is rarely found in rosé.

Pro Tip

The high percentage of Tibouren (a grape unique to this corner of Provence) gives this wine its distinctive "earthy spice" and longevity. It is often described as a "white wine lover's rosé."

The Serving Tip: Serve at 10°C–12°C. Do not serve it "ice cold," as that will mute the complex spice and floral notes that won it the Palme d'Or. Use a wide white wine glass rather than a narrow flute to allow the aromatics to expand.

The Pairing:

  • The "Gourmet" Match: Perfect with Lobster Thermidor, Grilled Sea Bass with Fennel, or a Bouillabaisse.

  • The "Exotic" Match: Its spicy undertones make it a brilliant partner for Thai Green Curry or Saffron-infused Paella.

  • Finnish Twist: An exceptional match for Grilled Arctic Char with a lemon-butter sauce. The wine's saline minerality and peach notes beautifully complement the delicate, fatty texture of the fish.
