A unique white vintage Port that has matured in oak barrels for over three decades.
Dalva is especially renowned for its rare white colheita Ports, produced by only a handful of houses. The 1989 Golden White vintage is one of the estate’s most iconic releases.
The wine comes from the Douro Valley, one of the world’s oldest demarcated wine regions and the home of Port. The grapes are traditional local white varieties such as Viosinho, Rabigato, Malvasia Fina and Gouveio, which produce aromatic and long‑lived Ports.
The grapes are hand‑harvested and gently pressed, after which fermentation is halted by adding grape spirit, which is the traditional method for Port. The wine matures for over 30 years in old oak barrels, where it develops its amber hue, nutty aromas and layered sweetness. This unique white Port is perfect enjoyed on its own or as a digestif, and it also pairs beautifully with soft cheeses, foie gras, and rich, nutty or caramel‑driven desserts.
