Château de Malengin Eve 2018 is a softly fruity, modern and rare red wine that showcases the unique character brought by amphora ageing.
The wine takes its name from Rothschild’s daughter and serves as a tribute to the new generation of winemakers. Only around 13,000 bottles are produced per vintage, making it a rare and collector‑valued wine.
The wine comes from Montagne–Saint‑Émilion on Bordeaux’s Right Bank, where Merlot thrives on clay‑limestone slopes. The soil gives Merlot a soft, fruity and elegant profile, which is further highlighted by amphora ageing.
The wine ages for 12 months in amphorae, which is exceptional in Bordeaux where oak barrels are traditionally used. This method preserves the fruit character and brings freshness and a naturally pure aromatic profile to the wine.
Suitable for celebrations, dinners and moments when you want to offer something personal and slightly outside the classic Bordeaux style. An excellent match for dishes like seared duck, mushroom risotto or richer salads. Hard and aromatic cheeses are also a great choice.
