Château Daviaud captivates with its exceptional fruitiness: a Bordeaux classic with a modern, refreshing twist.
Château Daviaud was acquired in 2020 by the renowned Sichel wine family. The Sichel family has been active in the Bordeaux region since the 1960s and is known for its uncompromising commitment to quality.
Château Daviaud is located in the southern part of Côtes de Bordeaux, on the right bank of the Garonne River. The region’s slopes face south and southwest, providing the grapes with abundant light and warmth. The soil is a mix of limestone and clay, producing wines that are both fruit‑forward and well‑structured.
The wine has fermented and matured entirely in stainless steel tanks without any oak aging. This highlights its fruitiness and freshness, and the wine develops no vanilla or toasted notes from oak. The short tank maturation makes the wine approachable and enjoyable even when young.
The style of the wine is intentionally fruit‑forward with fresh acidity, making it highly versatile at the table. It pairs beautifully with a variety of meat, chicken, and vegetable dishes. For example, it is an excellent match for steak & frites or Lyon‑style chicken, as well as spicy vegetable curries.
