A classic Merlot‑driven Bordeaux from Listrac‑Médoc, where ripe fruit, refined oak and Rothschild quality come together in elegant balance.
Château Clarke takes its name from the Irish Clarke family, who owned the estate as early as the 18th century. The property later passed to Baron Edmond de Rothschild in 1973, marking the beginning of a long-term commitment to elevating the estate to its current level of quality.
The wine comes from Listrac‑Médoc on Bordeaux’s Left Bank, where clay‑ and limestone‑rich soils give Merlot structure and Cabernet Sauvignon firmness. The 2010 vintage is renowned as exceptional: a warm growing season and balanced ripening produced wines with both power and longevity.
The hand‑harvested grapes ferment in stainless steel before the wine matures 14–18 months in French oak. Extended barrel aging deepens the structure and adds dark fruit, cedar and spice in a classic Médoc style.
Château Clarke 2010 shines at the table: its deep fruit and refined structure make it an ideal match for grilled meats, game and slow‑cooked dishes. The 2010 vintage is already enjoyable, yet its structure and acidity promise excellent cellaring potential.
