Château Angludet 2019 is a classic Margaux red wine in which elegance and the appellation’s iconic aromatic profile come together in perfect balance.
Château Angludet is one of the oldest estates in Margaux and has been owned by the Sichel family since 1961. The estate is known for its uncompromising craftsmanship and traditional winemaking. The name Angludet originates from a medieval manor located at a bend in the Garonne river delta, Angle du Delta.
The 32 hectares of vineyards at Château Angludet grow on gravelly, stony soils that provide an ideal environment for Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. Margaux is one of the most prestigious appellations in Bordeaux.
The grapes are hand‑harvested and picked parcel by parcel to ensure optimal ripeness. Fermentation takes place in stainless‑steel tanks, and the wine ages for at least 12 months in French oak barrels. The oak maturation provides ageing potential along with spice and structure.
The wine evolves in the cellar for 1–20 years. It is an excellent choice for both festive dinners and more casual meals. It truly shines alongside robust meat dishes, slow‑cooked stews, or mushroom‑based dishes. Serve it with grilled flank steak and Béarnaise sauce, beef bourguignon, or a truffle‑infused mushroom risotto.
