The "Bussia Daily" – Fresh, Traditional, and Pure
The Vibe
While 2024 is the "current" fresh release, in 2026, the 2023 Cantina Tre Pile Dolcetto has settled into a beautiful, harmonious state. Because Tre Pile is located in the Bussia Soprana (one of Barolo’s most famous crus), even their "simple" Dolcetto benefits from elite-level terroir.
The 2023 vintage in Piedmont was slightly warmer and drier than 2024, giving the Dolcetto a bit more concentration and "chewiness" than the younger version. It remains a wine of the people—un-oaked, honest, and meant to be enjoyed without overthinking.
The Nose
The 2023 has moved past the "neon" fruit of its youth and now shows a more integrated, classic Langhe profile:
-
The Fruit: Deep notes of amarena cherry, ripe blackberry, and plum jam.
-
The Signature: A very clear, pleasant scent of bitter almond and a touch of wet earth or forest floor.
-
The Floral: Soft, fading notes of dried violet.
The Taste
On the palate, the 2023 is round, dry, and balanced.
-
The Body: It has a medium body with a "smooth" entry. The tannins are present but very soft and "dusty," typical of the Dolcetto grape.
-
The Profile: You’ll taste dark red fruits followed by a refreshing, slightly savory backbone.
-
The Finish: It ends with that quintessential almond-skin bitterness that cleans the palate, making it the ultimate food wine.

Pro Tip: In 2026, the 2023 is at its "sweet spot." It has lost the sharp edges of youth but still retains all that lovely dark fruit. If you see it on a wine list, it’s a guaranteed "value winner" that will pair with almost everything on the menu.
