Caiarossa is an elegant, versatile and approachable premium red wine from Tuscany.
The family’s philosophy has always remained the same: wine is not made in haste, but by following the rhythm of nature. Grandfather Antonio taught his children that great wine is created primarily in the vineyard, not in the cellar. This belief still guides the estate today. Each generation has brought new skills and technology, yet the traditions have never been abandoned.
The wine comes from the sunny slopes of Southern Italy, where limestone-rich soils and cooling sea breezes create ideal conditions for grape ripening. The region is especially known for its intense red wines that combine ripe fruit with natural freshness. Its grape varieties include Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sangiovese, Petit Verdot and Grenache.
The hand‑harvested and carefully sorted grapes ensure that only fully ripe and flawless fruit makes it into the wine. Controlled fermentation in stainless‑steel tanks preserves and enhances the wine’s primary aromas. Natural malolactic fermentation softens the acidity and adds fullness. The wine is traditionally aged for at least 14 months in French oak barrels.
