Romirasco, born from one of Bussia’s most renowned vineyards, is a powerful, multi‑layered and long‑lived Barolo.
Poderi Aldo Conterno is one of the most esteemed family estates in the Langhe, renowned for a style that honors classic Barolo traditions while embracing refined modernity. Romirasco is the crown jewel of Bussia, a vineyard with vines around 50–55 years old that produce exceptionally concentrated grapes.
The wine comes from the Bussia cru, one of the most renowned and prestigious vineyard areas in Barolo, located in Monforte d’Alba. The soil is composed of limestone, clay and layers of sand, giving Nebbiolo power, depth and an intense tannic structure. The wine is 100% Nebbiolo.
The grapes are hand‑harvested from the Romirasco vineyard and fermented in stainless‑steel tanks. Maceration lasts 25–30 days, extracting deep colour, tannins and aromatics. The wine ages for 20–28 months in large Slavonian oak casks, which add structure, character and subtle spiciness.
The wine’s powerful structure and deep aromatics make it a perfect companion for festive dining. It reaches its full brilliance alongside game, slow‑braised meat dishes and aged cheeses. Try it with grilled venison tenderloin, braised ossobuco, truffle‑infused mushroom risotto or a selection of aromatic cheeses and charcuterie.
