An elegant and powerful single‑vineyard Nebbiolo from one of the most esteemed producers in the Barolo region.
The Conterno family has cultivated Nebbiolo in Monforte d’Alba for generations. Colonello is one of Bussia’s most renowned cru vineyards and has been one of the estate’s flagship wines for decades.
Bussia is one of Barolo’s first officially recognized cru areas, and the Colonello vineyard lies at its core. The wine is made from 100% Nebbiolo, renowned for its floral aromatics, firm tannin structure and exceptional ageing potential.
The grapes are hand‑harvested and fermentation takes place in stainless‑steel tanks with an extended maceration. The wine is aged for 28–30 months in large Slavonian oak casks.
A powerful and multi‑layered single‑vineyard Barolo that shines alongside game, slow‑braised meat dishes, truffle pastas and aged cheeses. A perfect choice for both everyday occasions and celebrations, and also ideal for long‑term cellaring. The wine’s true brilliance unfolds after years of maturation.
